He is a greatest bulgarian and slavic historical figure of all time and is canonized as a saint.In fact he is the last patriarch of bulgarian medieval church, the scribe who inspired the orthodox slavic literacy and culture in Serbia and Russia, and great warrior who led citizens of bulgarian capital Turnovgrad in lasting 3 months defense battle for Medieval Turnovgrad! Also the first try of Western European crusaders to meet and fight Ottomans have to be mentioned. The western warriors from almost all medieval european countries went to bulgarian lands in order to banish Ottomans horde from Balkans and Byzantium but their outstanding try was crashed at the walls of bulgarian city Nikopol in the year of 1396.With the failure and defeating of Christian army near Nikopol the Second Bulgarian Empire was totally ruined and fell into Turkish (Ottoman) yoke./Бултаймс
